KL Life - Day #6 (Part 1)

Day number 6, marks the end of our adventure in Genting Highlands. With heavy and unwilling hearts not to mention sleepy heads, we started packing and got ready for our departure from Uncle Lim's town. Before that, we went to eat the buffet breakfast which is compliment from First World Hotel. Then we went to the mini bus station situated beside the hotel.

We went there on foot and reached there around 10 a.m. Upon reaching the station, our cam whore king found out that there is only 1 bus company providing shuttle service to Titiwangsa which is almost near KL area and it departs at 10.30 a.m. So we had half an hour to kill while waiting for the departure time. What did we do? I know I was trying furiously on checking my results online but to no avail. Last resort, call curtin. 085-443939!! Below are the "documentary" of what the others were doing while waiting.

Cam whore king in action again...

Super candid shot by cam whore king.

Cam whore queen?

Cam whore king sms-ing who??

And while the rest are busy with their activities and cam whoring, some of us found this cute lil baby and started to dub him as cam whore king jr. hahaha.

Eling with the cam whore king jr.

Cam whore king jr. with Alfredo and Xin Yii in the background smiling.

After a period of cam whoring, it is finally time for us to depart from Genting. When we purchased the tickets for the bus we expected a bus like express bus or something like a bus especially for travelling passangers but alas, our expectations were hampered. The bus that we were supposed to take was just a city bus. With no adequate allocation for luggage. Don't get what I mean? Take a look at the picture.

With all our luggage blocking the walkway, the bus driver barely had enough room to walk and collect the tickets. But then, somehow we managed and we arrived safetly at Titiwangsa bus station where we parted with Ah Jack and Xin Yii. We then made our way to our hotel, all of us decided to go by taxi and divide the cost evenly among us. It took 4 taxi's to get us down to Alor Street, and to our hotel for the rest of our days in KL, Seasons View Hotel.

But for me its different. I managed to get complimentary accomodation for 3 days 2 nights at KL Plaza couresty of Berjaya Vacation Club. So I walked my own a** to KL Plaza and brought Victor along with me.

For now I will stop here, and I will continue the rest of the story for day 6 in a second part as I need sometime to refresh my memory and fatigueness. Thank you for reading!

KL Life - Day #5

Fifth day in West Malaysia. Rise and shine in Genting Highlands. The temperature is very very cold. Even without air conditioning, we're already shivering. After taking the complimentary buffet breakfast provided by the First World Hotel, we went ahead with our plan for the day, the theme park. Upon entry, we took a group picture. Then we proceeded down the walkway and ran into a double decker bus. And so, the cam whoring begins. Although I was not meant to be in the picture but you can see my left arm on the left side of the picture. *laughs* Next we will see the king of cam whoring in person hogging the bus all to himself. *LOL* Then we proceeded to the rides available. RM 38 for full access of the park is quite okay if you ask me. BUT BUT BUT... ONLY if every single ride is available. The time we went there, most of the exciting rides were on maintenance. Such a pity and a waste. I only managed to ride the Pirate Ship, the ride i call the tower jumper (must try :P) and the other one, which is similar to a merry go round to me.. but its a scarier version. *laughs*

The tower jumper

Lunch was at Old Town Coffee,

If you want to see more pictures, you can get them here. 5 Zhang's photo album on Facebook.
At night, we went to have dinner at Pizza Hut to celebrate Ah Jack's birthday. Then we went to Genting Highland's Ripley's Believe It or Not exhibit center. Where we came across a lot of strange and intriguing stuff that we have never seen before. It is a must visit and really worth it for RM 18 per person. Below is a picture that was taken in front of a strange mirror and a funny one indeed. *smiles*

KL Life - Day #4

Day #4 - Nationals are over. Woke up just a few minutes before the designated check out time. Packed everything, showered and checked out. Took the monorail to KL Sentral.

Reached KL Sentral monorail station and started walking to the KL Sentral building. Tedious task in the hot afternoon weather. By the time we arrived at the KL Sentral building, we were famished. Set my eyes on Mc Donalds and made a bee-line there for lunch. Met up with Ian Chong, Ah Hong and Ah Wen there while waiting to meet up with the rest of the gang who are on their way from LCCT terminal.

When the rest of the gang arrived, we proceeded to the ground level of the building to board our bus to Genting Highlands which were bought by Ian Chong earlier.

The trip to Genting Highlands took around 1 hour and when we reached there we used the cable car up.

Upon reaching the First World Hotel, we were greeted with the sight of a sea of humans and upon further inquiry, the receptionist said that we had to wait for 2 hours before we could check in. So we decided on exploring around while waiting for the designated time. While waiting we took a few pictures for the album... below is one of the pic that has me in it. Courtesy of 5 Zhang.

Top, from left to right, E Ling, Chloe and Jenny.
Bottom, Xin Yii and Victor

Approximately around 6 p.m., we finally managed to check into our booked rooms. *whew* We checked into our rooms and got ready for dinner. Everyone met at 7.30 p.m. for dinner and after dinner its nighty night *wink*.

KL Life - Day #3

Day #3!! Started off early as we were supposed to report in at Cititel Mid Valley by 9 am. So we sorted ourselves and started out just a little before 8 am. Reached Mid Valley by 8.20 am or so then we had some breakfast.

Day #2 started off quite badly and at the end of the day, got a score of 5 wins of 12 rounds. Not bad for a first timer I guess. We stayed back for a bit to watch the semifinals and finals. In the end, the winner of the Malaysian Nationals is Joe Soh with his red green aggro deck.

After that, we headed on to Mid Valley's food court for dinner and then to the card shop on the same floor. Here we came across a game also produced by Wizards of The Coast called Dreamblade.

Its a game similar to Magic just that everything is in miniatures but not cards. It looks like a cool game but too bad it has been discontinued. Below is a picture of a cool rare that is available in Dreamblade.

We also bought some Japanese boosters and I managed to get a Japanese version of Maelstrom Pulse. *big big grin*

KL Life - Day #2

Day #2. So, what am I doing all the way here?

Main reason is to attend, Magic The Gathering Nationals. Its a national level event for Magic players to compete and stand a chance to represent Malaysia to Rome for the World Championships. The competition is a 2 day event and it was held in Cititel Mid Valley.

The only picture that i managed to get throughout the 2 days of competition...

Finished the first day, with a score of 3 wins out of 7 matches.... I think... If I remember correctly. Disappointing outcome but its my first time in nationals. *grin* Anyways, the day ended around 8 pm and we all went back to our hotel.

KL Life - Day #1

3rd July 1 am. I am officially in the capital of Malaysia. Muahahahaha. It has been so long since i last came here. Anyways, I am here already... got on the SkyBus to KL Sentral then taxi all the way to Replica Inn at Alor Street. By the time I reached the hotel, it was almost 3 am. Dumped our luggage in the room and we made our way to Alor Street for some supper cause I was famished. Finished the supper in a jiffy and off to dreamland.

Woke up around 12 noon and proceeded downstairs for lunch. Then we made our way all the way to Lucky Plaza in Klang just to have a look at CCE Games shop. To get there we had to take the monorail all the way to KL Sentral once again and then took a bus to Klang area.

We ended up drafting there with a few of the local players. The draft ended around 6.30 pm and we had lunch somewhere around Lucky Plaza. Then we headed back to take the bus back to our hotel. Back at the hotel, everybody cleaned up, practised a bit for the first day of the Malaysian Nationals and went to sleep.

Let Go of The Past, Embrace The Future

We humans are always caught or tied up in strings of emotions over what happened in the past. But no one ever realizes that if they dwell on the past, they will never be free from it. Although it sounds cruel but moving on is the best course that one could make in their life.

Being in the past does no benefit at all. SO move on and be rid of the past. Don't keep up the old habits. Turn over a new leaf!

Prezzie from the future. *wink*

Revenge of the Fallen and Homely Cooking

Megan Fox... one of the main characters in Transformers 2

Last Wednesday (26th June 2009) was the release date for Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen. Being a movie enthusiast, of course I did not want to miss the movie. So I picked up my phone, dialed Star Cineplex's number.... *busy tone* waited 5 mins... called again *busy tone* waited... 15 mins... called again STILL *busy tone* getting frustrated now.... gave up... called 3 hours later... STILL *busy tone*. *Sigh* I already gave up on the movie since it was the release date and there's bound to be a lot of people watching.

Then after a few minutes, Felix called... saying that a few of the gang wanted to watch transformers too. So..... coincidentally I was on my way to Bintang Plaza for I don't know what, hence i told them I go see if there's any seats left. Checked, and bought the tickets for 10.30 pm show.

There were 8 of us, 6 tickets above account for, Felix, Jason, Yuki, Ah Hong, Ah Wen, and Ian Chong.

My ticket and *ahem* *wink wink*

The movie started at 10.30pm... everyone was thinking that it wouldn't last till so late... but in the end, the movie ended at 1 am-ish... but then, the movie was nice. *big grin*

Then it was Thursday... where I was spontaneously invited to a house dinner *big big big grin*. All I can say is.. the food that was prepared all had a very homely feeling and it was NICE.

Hash brown potatoes... (due to the fact that we have vegetarians in d house *smiles*)

Chicken Wings in Soy Sauce *yummy*

Meat with garlic

Long Beans with Eggs
